Abstract:  

At first sight condensed matter and black holes physics appear as completely independent and far away subjects. Nevertheless in the last decade a very surprising and powerful connection between the two fields has been established within the so-called Gauge/Gravity duality. I will introduce the basic concepts of such framework tackling the following questions: why, how and what. I will conclude showing some more recent progress dealing with the fascinating interplay between strongly correlated materials, quantum gravity and quantum chaos.
